Detailed Presentation
Today, doing business in Africa is no longer just about making a profit. The strongest and most attractive companies are those that create value across three dimensions: economic, social and environmental. This course helps you understand and master the principles of triple impact so you can design a business that is profitable, useful to society and respectful of the environment. You will learn how to build impact into your business model from the very start, without sacrificing financial performance. Through concrete African examples and a hands-on, field-based approach, you will discover how to turn local challenges (employment, access to services, the environment) into sustainable business opportunities. You will be able to structure a venture capable of attracting partners, investors and committed customers.
Overview
What this course covers
Triple-Impact Entrepreneurship: Creating Economic, Social and Environmental Value is an online UpSkills course in Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Startups in Africa, organised into 9 modules, 25 lessons and 5h 22m of content. Each sequence pairs theory with hands-on practice so that what you learn transfers directly to a real professional setting.
By the end of this programme you will be able to understand the fundamentals of triple-impact entrepreneurship, identify high-impact business opportunities in Africa, build a business model that is both profitable and responsible and embed social and environmental dimensions into your strategy. These skills are built up gradually across the course, consolidating the fundamentals before moving on to more advanced material.
The learning path opens with “Introduction” and closes with “Quiz”, taking in “Section 1 - Understanding Triple Impact”, “Section 2 - Identifying an opportunity” and “Section 3 - Designing a sustainable model” along the way. The sequence is designed so each module builds on the one before it.
This course is aimed at learners at intermediate level looking to build their skills in Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Startups in Africa. It suits both individual upskilling and a company-led development plan, and needs no special software or equipment to follow.
The programme is led by L'équipe d'experts Up Skills; you learn at your own pace, with no fixed schedule, from desktop, tablet or mobile; an UpSkills certificate is issued once you complete the course.
