About
Detailed Presentation
Corporate social responsibility, often shortened to CSR, refers to the way an organisation takes account of the impact of its activities on society, the environment and its various stakeholders. This course introduces you to the essential principles of CSR and helps you understand why it now holds such a strategic place in the life of businesses and organisations. It gives you a clearer grasp of the links between economic performance, social responsibility, environmental commitment and responsible governance. You'll learn to identify the key CSR issues, understand stakeholder expectations, recognise good practice in ethics, inclusion, sustainability and responsibility, and position CSR as a lever for improving an organisation's image, trustworthiness and long-term viability. Suitable for beginners, this course offers a clear, step-by-step and practical approach to understanding how to place a company's activity on a more responsible and sustainable footing.
Overview
What this course covers
Corporate social responsibility is an online UpSkills course in Leadership, Management & Change Management, organised into 17 modules, 17 lessons and 3h 47m of content. Each sequence pairs theory with hands-on practice so that what you learn transfers directly to a real professional setting.
By the end of this programme you will be able to understand the fundamental principles of corporate social responsibility, identify the social, environmental and ethical dimensions of CSR and understand the role of stakeholders in a responsible approach. These skills are built up gradually across the course, consolidating the fundamentals before moving on to more advanced material.
The learning path opens with “Introduction to CSR: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)” and closes with “Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)”, taking in “Stakeholders”, “Ethics and governance” and “Human rights and CSR” along the way. The sequence is designed so each module builds on the one before it.
This course is aimed at learners at beginner level looking to build their skills in Leadership, Management & Change Management. It suits both individual upskilling and a company-led development plan, and needs no special software or equipment to follow.
The programme is led by Nawal EL FARJI, who brings 22 years of experience in the field; you learn at your own pace, with no fixed schedule, from desktop, tablet or mobile; an UpSkills certificate is issued once you complete the course.
