What this course covers

Hospital management: leadership, performance and quality of care is an online UpSkills course in Health & Social Care, organised into 6 modules, 52 lessons and 10h 17m of content. Each sequence pairs theory with hands-on practice so that what you learn transfers directly to a real professional setting.

By the end of this programme you will be able to framing hospital management — Assess your facility's maturity, map data flows, structure the patient record and define a shared set of indicators. These skills are built up gradually across the course, consolidating the fundamentals before moving on to more advanced material.

The learning path opens with “Section 01 – Setting the framework for hospital management” and closes with “QUIZ”, taking in “Section 02 – Managing performance & quality of care”, “Section 03 - Mastering critical resources” and “Section 04 - Monitoring, ensuring reliability and reporting” along the way. Before you start

This course is aimed at directors of district, regional and university hospitals, chief medical officers, administrative and financial directors, senior nursing officers, chief pharmacists and quality managers, as well as managers in regional health directorates and public health programmes, whether already in post or taking up a new role. No specialist software is required: all the tools provided work in a paper-based environment or with basic office software.
