About

Detailed Presentation

Public health is not simply about collecting data or rolling out programmes. It rests on the ability to turn information into decisions, decisions into action, and action into lasting impact for populations. This course gives you a concrete methodology for delivering public health interventions effectively, steering programmes with meaningful indicators, correcting deviations quickly and building systems capable of producing sustainable results despite constraints on the ground. Through practical cases drawn from African realities, together with operational tools, dashboards, supervision grids and multi-stakeholder coordination methods, you will develop a rigorous, impact-driven approach to strengthening the performance of public health programmes.

Overview

What this course covers

Public Health and Epidemiology: From Decision to Lasting Impact is an online UpSkills course in Health & Social Care, organised into 5 modules, 16 lessons and 3h 42m of content. Each sequence pairs theory with hands-on practice so that what you learn transfers directly to a real professional setting.

By the end of this programme you will be able to translate a strategic decision into an operational action plan, design and use effective micro-plans for delivery and coordinate institutional and community stakeholders and technical partners. These skills are built up gradually across the course, consolidating the fundamentals before moving on to more advanced material.

The learning path opens with “Course introduction” and closes with “Quiz”, taking in “SECTION 1 – Delivering without losing efficiency”, “SECTION 2: Steering and course-correcting before the crisis” and “SECTION 3 Embedding a sustainable public health approach” along the way. The sequence is designed so each module builds on the one before it.

This course is aimed at learners at intermediate level looking to build their skills in Health & Social Care. It suits both individual upskilling and a company-led development plan, and needs no special software or equipment to follow.

The programme is led by L'équipe d'experts Up Skills; you learn at your own pace, with no fixed schedule, from desktop, tablet or mobile; an UpSkills certificate is issued once you complete the course.
