What this course covers
Vaccinology: From Immune Mechanisms to Immunisation Programmes is an online UpSkills course in Health & Social Care, organised into 7 modules, 25 lessons and 6h 25m of content. Each sequence pairs theory with hands-on practice so that what you learn transfers directly to a real professional setting.
By the end of this programme you will be able to explain immune mechanisms — distinguish innate from adaptive immunity and understand immune memory and the vaccine response and identify vaccine families — master live attenuated, inactivated, subunit, conjugate, mRNA and viral vector vaccines. These skills are built up gradually across the course, consolidating the fundamentals before moving on to more advanced material.
The learning path opens with “Course introduction” and closes with “QUIZ”, taking in “Section 01 - Understanding immunity”, “Section 02 - Understanding vaccines” and “Section 03 – Administering & securing” along the way. The sequence is designed so each module builds on the one before it.
This course is aimed at learners at intermediate level looking to build their skills in Health & Social Care. It suits both individual upskilling and a company-led development plan, and needs no special software or equipment to follow.
The programme is led by L'équipe d'experts Up Skills; you learn at your own pace, with no fixed schedule, from desktop, tablet or mobile; an UpSkills certificate is issued once you complete the course.

Deliver the WHO-EPI schedule — apply primary vaccination, catch-up and delay management in an African context.
Making vaccination safe — IM/SC/ID/oral techniques, cold chain, VVM/freeze indicators, prevention of occupational blood exposure.
Detecting and reporting AEFIs — WHO classification, anaphylaxis, reporting form, causality investigation tree.
Managing a programme — Coverage, zero-dose children, the 3Cs of vaccine hesitancy, outbreak response, IA2030 innovations.

This course is aimed at general practitioners, paediatricians, infectious disease specialists and public health specialists, state-registered nurses and community health workers, hospital and retail pharmacists, expanded programme on immunisation managers, epidemiologists and laboratory scientists, as well as staff of NGOs and international agencies (WHO, UNICEF, GAVI, MSF) already working in public and private health systems across sub-Saharan Africa. It is designed at executive level, in line with WHO, UNICEF and GAVI standards.

Bonjour, Merci pour cette opportunité d'apprentissage continue pour le personnel des programmes de vaccination. Je trouve que les capsules sont assez rapides et je suggère de mettre à la disposition des apprenants les supports pédagogiques complets (PFF ou PPT) de chaque rubrique ou capsule. J'avais déjà sollicité la mise à disposition de ces supports au cours de l'apprentissage et on m'avait répondu que cela se ferait après l'apprentissage total et le QUIZ, donc j'attends SVP !!! Merci de faire diligence.

Une seule suggestion : c'est celle de mettre à la disposition des apprenants les supports complet de chaque rubrique ou capsule ce qui pourrait faciliter la relecture hors réseau internet.
